Bristol Hospice: Serious about Compliance

Last month, the Office of the Inspector General released two new reports following its investigation into hospice care in the U.S. the NHPCO responded to New OIG Reports on Hospice Care with a press release stating that, “NHPCO welcomes the opportunity to shed a light on high quality providers as well as those that fall short in providing appropriate care.”

At Bristol Hospice, compliance forms the backbone of the company and in light of these reports from OIG and NHPCO, we want to take this opportunity to share some of these compliance aspects which we consider makes us one of the “high quality providers”.

Celebrating Social Work Month!

Throughout March is National Social Work Month!

The Bristol Hospice team is celebrating our nation’s more than 680,000 social workers.

They confront some of the most challenging issues facing individuals, families, communities and society and find solutions that help empower, support and advocate for those in need.

Thank you for all you do!

Happy President’s Day

Aloha,

Happy President’s Day

This weekend, we will be celebrating and honoring all U.S. presidents past and present.

Abraham Lincoln said it best – “Leave nothing for tomorrow which can be done today.”

Bristol Hospice is graciously committed to our mission that all patients and families entrusted to our care will be treated with the highest level of compassion, respect and quality of care.

Aloha and Happy New Year!

Aloha,

This past year we have had the privilege to care for many patients and families.  We appreciate all of you for putting faith in us to assist and care for your loved ones.

As we transition to a new year, we recognize all of the feelings that we have all experienced as our loved ones have transitioned to a better place.

We honor and love all of you and look forward to a 2019 filled with prosperity, health and good fortune.

Sincerely,

Your Bristol Hospice Staff and Family

Honoring the Veterans of the Pacific Islands

Recently, the Director of Community Relations for Bristol Hospice ~ Hawaii, Jomel Duldulao, was pleased and humbled to attend a memorial service held by the VA Pacific Islands Health Care System. This service, which took place at the Community Living Center at Tripler, was held in honor of all the Veterans whom those in attendance had the privilege of knowing & serving.

The motto, Hele Kikahakaha Kakou (to walk steadily and proudly together) was shared during the ceremony. This reinforces the concept of teamwork with each other and especially with the Veteran and family. It reminds us of the special privilege we have been given as partners in the end-of-life care. Thank you for allowing Bristol Hospice ~ Hawaii to support your efforts.
